Matt Sanders

I was blessed with a wonderful mother who gave up so many things for me and took such good care of me. I didn't go to church as a kid; however, I was taught that there was a God out there. I believed there was, although I didn't know much about him. In high school, I started attending a local church and was introduced to actually reading the Bible and trying to understand it. The Lord blessed me with a great youth minister who taught me and showed me what the Bible was about. I started to read the Bible as if it was food and I began to realize how starving I was. In college, the Lord blessed me with friends who were eager to learn more about and grow closer to the Lord. We began to study theology and challenge each other daily. I see my walk with the Lord as Him continually saving me and loving me even as we were enemies. Each day I turn from him, but each day He saves me again and loves me more and more. It is He who grows me and brings me closer to him. I want to comment myself to Him each day and try to work out my salvation with fear and trembling for I know it is He who works in me to will and to act according to His good purpose. I look to be in the world, but not of the world. By loving and sharing the Gospel with my friends and co-workers with the fragrance of Christ whom I can do nothing apart from.
